River song

River Song is a gentle, romantic tale of rural England in the 18th century. It is set in a large country sporting estate in the ancient county of Cumberland, in the north of what is now Cumbria - the Lake District. It tells the story of a woodsman, Richard, born beside a river on the estate.

Richard is a man at ease with himself and content with life.

The dramatic arrival of a girl and her baby changes everything. The story traces his life and loves from his humble beginnings to his rise, through fate, to the management of the entire estate.
